$80,000 - $85,000

Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates the efforts of the hourly production employees focusing on driving safety, quality, and productivity.

They ensure that product specifications are met with a high standard of quality. They are responsible to make sure compliance is met with all standards, policies, regulations, for the safe, environmentally sound production of a quality product.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for meeting plant and company objectives.
  • Perform day-to-day operations on the production floor with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Provide leadership, management, and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention
  • Develop, implement, and enforce operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and revenue
  • Run production lines and machines when employees are absent, or the plant is shorthanded with workers.
  • Assuring conformance of finished product to company, industry, and customer specifications at minimum cost and optimum efficiency.
  • Directing, teaching, coaching, and training of production employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining shop floor metrics, visual controls, and continuous improvement methods to the manufacturing floor.
  • Supervision of production associates including performance reviews, onboarding, discipline, and terminations.
  • Hire new employees as needed
  • Monitoring and administering attendance and vacation.
  • Ability to function in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Having in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and improvement processes.
  • Ability to effectively implement change.
  • Possessing knowledge of safety, health, and environmental rules, laws, requirements, and applicable Signode policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by plant manager.

Position Qualifications

Education:  High School diploma or GED, with accredited BS degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform this position's key responsibilities.
