Salary: 

$75,000-$85,000

Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates the efforts of the hourly production employees.  They ensure that product specifications are met with a high standard of quality.  They are responsible to make sure compliance is met with all standards, policies, regulations, for the safe, environmentally sound production of a quality product. 

Essential Functions

  • Working closely with plant staff to provide a safe working environment.
  • Responsible for meeting plant and company objectives.
  • Performing day-to-day operations on the production floor with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Running production lines and machines when employees are absent, or the plant is shorthanded with workers.
  • Assuring conformance of finished product to company, industry, and customer specifications at minimum cost and optimum efficiency.
  • Directing, teaching, coaching, and training of production employees.
  • Being responsible to maintain shop floor metrics, visual controls, and continuous improvement methods to the manufacturing floor.
  • Supervision of production associates including performance reviews, onboarding, discipline, and terminations.
  • Monitoring and administering attendance and vacation.
  • Ability to function in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Possessing strong leadership skills with a desire to move up in the organization.
  • Having in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and improvement processes.
  • Ability to effectively implement change.
  • Possessing knowledge of safety, health, and environmental rules, laws, requirements, and applicable Signode policies.
  • Demonstrating problem-solving skills.
  • Effective abilities in leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned by plant manager.
  • Wearing all proper PPE and follow all safety regulations/procedures.

Position Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED, with accredited BS degree preferred.

Experience: 5 years of manufacturing experience

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • OR Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
